Klaas Lageweg (b. 1978) is a Dutch visual artist renowned for his murals and paintings. Art serves as his medium for navigating and functioning autonomously within society. His creative process evokes a spectrum of emotions, including conflict, euphoria, disappointment, and pride—an enduring passion for painting that drives him forward.
Guided by instinct and intuition, Lageweg transforms ideas into tangible realities, with a strong focus on the final result. Inspired by his daily surroundings, his work often reflects a keen observational perspective. He is particularly skilled at capturing the essence of his subjects, blending seemingly contrasting styles such as realism, pixel art, and abstraction to push artistic boundaries.

Lageweg’s art has been exhibited at notable venues and events, such as the Wynwood Mural Fest 2020 (Miami), the 2010 World Expo (Shanghai), Artcurial (Paris), Toss Gallery (Thessaloniki), Wallery Gallery (Stockholm), the Fries Museum (Leeuwarden), and the Original Dampkring Gallery (Amsterdam). Additionally, his work has been featured in publications, including the art book Mural Art.
