Nychos is an Austrian illustrator, urban art and graffiti artist renowned for his distinctive and intricate style that often delves into anatomical deconstruction and surreal imagery. Born in Styria, Austria, Nychos developed a fascination with anatomy and dissection, themes that prominently feature in his work. His art is characterized by highly detailed, often explosively vivid depictions of animals and human figures, revealing their internal structures in a dynamic and visually captivating manner.
His work has been showcased in prominent galleries worldwide, including the Mirus Gallery in San Francisco, California; Kolly Gallery in Zurich, Switzerland and Galerie Mathgoth in Paris, France.
In 2005, Nychos founded a creative agency called the Rabbit Eye Movement (REM) that evolved into a platform that supports and promotes urban artists, organizing exhibitions, collaborations, and events worldwide.
In addition to his visual art, Nychos teamed up with filmmaker Christian Fischer to create the documentary “The Deepest Depths of the Burrow.” The movie follows Nychos and the Rabbit Eye Movement as they journey from Berlin to San Francisco, Copenhagen, Hawaii, and beyond, exploring the street culture of each city. Local artists guide Nychos through their hometowns, offering unique insights into their world and creative spaces.
Through his art, Nychos explores themes of mortality, transformation, and the complexity of life, making his work both visually stunning and deeply thought-provoking. Consider bringing a touch of Nychos’ unique artistry into your space with a limited edition fine art print—an inspiring way to make his work a part of your home.
